As far as this website is concerned, we are here to help promote drag racing and in particular, Nostalgia Drag Racing, one of the fastest growing sports in America. We are trying to break perceptions of our sport so the rest of the world can understand what we all know; this is the most fun and exciting sport there is.
Aaahh ... I love the smell of Nitro in the morning.
B&H Racing's Ronnie Hier - Junior Fueler
Nostalgia Drag Racing started in the late 80's, becoming popular in the 1990's. ANRA, then Goodguys brought notoriety to the sport making it one of the fastest growing sports in the world.
With its hay-days in the 90's, a popular class was Junior Fuel. Believed to be popular among race teams because of the relatively lower cost than nitro cars, these front engine dragsters were limited to 410 inch displacement and ran on Alcohol (with several other rules to keep the cars like they were in the 60's). They broke the 8 second barrier and then went on through the 90's lowering the times down into the mid 7's. There were easily over 2 dozen cars competing in a fun an exciting class during this time.
Though arguably illegal to use, the advent of 18degree head changed the class into more expensive racing with haves bringing the ET's down to the 7 seconds flat level and the have-nots s few 10ths back.
The beautiful red car shown here was Bender and Hier Racings Junior Fueler (circa mid 1990's). The car was by far the best looking during its era and finished third in the points twice (ANRA & Goodguys).
With more insight, knowledge and experience than any other Nostalgia motorsport team, we encourage you to join our program.
